Last weekend one of the largest events in the world took place in Shuchinsk-Borovoe resort area – the 5th charity bike ride #CharityTourdeBurabay2017. The venue attracted several hundred participants and philanthropists.
One of the large lots of the charity auction – the bicycle of the decedent Italian rider Michele Scarponi of the “Astana” cycling team was purchased for 20.5 million tenge by the General Manager of the company “NefteStroiService Ltd” Ibrahim Akdrashev. The trip with a command “Astana” on the last three stages of the Spanish ultra-distance race #Vuelta2017 costed him 2.2 million tenge. All proceeds from the auction will go towards children’s health facilities and orphanages.
